  • Leírás: Stathis and his men realize that the war has been lost and go back home, which now is under Italian occupation. As they are still dressed in their uniforms, their fellow villagers think they are liberators. Kind-hearted Stathis explains what is happening; things calm down, and he returns to his duties as station-master. After a dog fight, two English and two German pilots fall from the sky. The English pilots wear German uniforms and hide at the Italian military post, where Rosanna, the daughter of Colonel Albano, falls in love with one of them. The Germans, who are wearing English uniforms, end up in the Resistance hideout, where they find out all the secrets of the fighters, including the plan to blow up a train with supplies for Rommel. The arrival of two more Germans, a colonel and a torturer from the Auschwitz concentration camp, mixes things up even more. ‘Cowardly’ Stathis manages to blow up the train at the last moment.
